V Festival tickets are sold online at large since the attendees and popularity of the event has gone international now and it is no more just the people from parts of England but also those from all across the globe who come to attend this event. V Festival not only encourages new talents from various musical genres but also invites world renowned musicians to perform on its stages. Since the event does not have any rules in favor of or against any musical genre, vocal as well as dance acts from numerous genres come to the city of Chelmsford in large numbers each year to perform in this grand celebration of music amidst the English greenery. The festival started off by taking the name of the year, for instance, V Festival of 1996 was known as V96 but since 2003, it has been known and mentioned purely as V Festival. Initially, only rock music was the main showpiece of this festival but many other genres have also been accepted here and in recent times, pop acts have become more dominant here. Some of the world’s most popular acts who have been on the stages of V Festival include Girls Aloud, El Presidente, Tony Christie, Razorlight, Mel C of Spice Girls, Kaiser Chiefs, N.E.R.D and Coldplay. In its initial days, V Festival only had three stages however, since 2000; the festival sees at least four stages. In some years, even as much as five stages have been seen here. Each sate is allocated for a different act.
